Dear Friends:
Many of you may know by now but it is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of Carlynn Hartman-Kurtz. Larry Kurtz, her husband and resident Omaha “Worm Wrangler” asked that we share information about Carlynn’s memorial with our community of friends and supporters.
Carlynn’s interests included an active involvement in her church, Second Unitarian Church of Omaha; family, quilting, travel with her husband, Larry; and both admiring and providing encouragement to local non-profits serving the Greater Omaha area. Read Carlynn’s obituary.
We are honored to be among the organizations that Carlynn and Larry have chosen to memorialize Carlynn’s life and her work. Carlynn Hartman-Kurtz was an advocate for the food hub. She will always have a place in our hearts and a chair- Carlynn’s Chair- at our table. Please click here for more information on how your memorial donations will be matched.
Carlynn’s Memorial Service will be 9AM Saturday, September 19, 2015, at First Unitarian Church of Omaha, 3114 Harney St., Omaha, NE. Following the service there will be an open house at the family home that family and friends may stop by from 11AM to 4PM.
Memorials suggested to No More Empty Pots (www.nmepomaha.org/foodhub), A Time to Heal (www.atimetohealfoundation.com), and University of Nebraska Foundation (https://nufoundation.org/campaign-for-nebraska/cancer-research). Please send memorial(s) to individual non-profits with notation “in memory of Carlynn Hartman-Kurtz.”
