No More Empty Pots offers commercial kitchens and other food storage and prep space to local food entrepreneurs in Greater Omaha.

If you’re a local food entrepreneur looking to grow your business, consider renting a state of the art commercial kitchen at the No More Empty Pots Food Hub in Florence. We offer hourly rates as low as $15 per hour, vendor resources and support, and entrepreneurship assistance. Kitchen rental is prioritized for Program Participants of the Entrepreneur Journey which is a program that aims to support business owners with the resources they need to succeed.

RENTAL FAQ

The commercial kitchens are located in the lower level of the No More Empty Pots Food Hub in Florence located at 8501 N. 30th St., Omaha, NE 68112.

Kitchen rental is prioritized for Program Participants of the Entrepreneur Journey which is a program that aims to support business owners with the resources they need to succeed. Learn more about the program by clicking here. To begin renting at No More Empty Pots:

  1. Fill-out an Inquiry Form for the Entrepreneur Journey program.
  2. Take a virtual tour while we schedule an appointment with you.
  3. Complete the required paperwork: 1) Application Form 2) ServSafe Certification 3) Commissary Kitchen Form 4) Proof of Product Liability Insurance
  4. Pay the $200 refundable deposit to No More Empty Pots.
  5. Complete the kitchen orientation with No More Empty Pots staff.
  • ServSafe Food Handlers Class: $15
  • Liability Insurance: Varies by business. General range is $300-$600 annually.
  • Health Permit: Varies by business. General range is $200-$700 annually for permits plus a one-time fee of $80 for inspection.
  • No More Empty Pots Security Deposit: $200

Kitchen plans start as low as $10/hr for non-peak hours and $15/hr for peak hours. Solo plans for storage, prep tables and dishpit are also available.

Per the Douglas County Health Department, food trucks must empty water and park food trucks/trailers when not in use at commissaries. No More Empty Pots does not have the space to accommodate this, therefore we do not accept food trucks.

COMPLETE REQUIRED PAPERWORK

Before starting in the kitchens, you must complete and present the following paperwork: 

  • Application Form
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Commissary Kitchen Form
  • Proof of Product Liability Insurance

PAY DEPOSIT & COMPLETE KITCHEN ORIENTATION

Pay the $200 refundable deposit to finalize the application process. Complete the kitchen orientation with NMEP Food Entrepreneur Manager then prepare to book time in the kitchen.
