After eight weeks of training and deliciously prepared chef’s table lunches, Kasandra has successfully completed the culinary skills portion of the workforce training program. From soups, to steaks, to creating her very own three course meal in her pop-up restaurant, Kiasi, she has wowed us all. This formal culinary training supports Kasandra in her dreams of owning and operating her own food truck business. Kasandra is currently participating in workforce development where she will learn job skills such as resume building, interviewing, and workplace best practices so that she will have the culinary skills and business acumen to excel at any job. After she completes workforce development, she will be placed in an internship with a local food business to learn real-life application of what she’s learned.
