The third cohort welcomes Lamar and Denny for 15-weeks of training including culinary skills, coaching and career development and internship.
Get to Know Denny and Lamar!
Last week we had the opportunity to sit down with the participants to get to know a little bit more about them. Check out our Q&A.
Q: What got you interested in joining the Culinary Workforce Training Program?
Denny: “I was curious about learning to cook different types of food.”
Lamar: “I’ve always been interested in cooking and thought this would help me gain better cooking skills.”
Q: What do you hope to learn in the program that you haven’t yet?
Denny: “I’m hoping to take away anything I can.”
Lamar: “I’m excited to learn more about the in’s and out’s of a business and how to make it successful.”
Now Accepting Applications for Participant Placement
As an approved Workforce Investment Opportunity Act training program by the Nebraska Department of Labor, participants can use workforce investment funding to cover the cost of enrollment in the 15 week culinary training program and retain any benefits they are currently receiving while in paid internships. The Culinary Workforce Training Program is now taking agency referrals for participant placement in the 4th cohort. For more information call No More Empty Pots at 402.502.1642.
