The Culinary Certificate Program provides on-the-job workforce readiness training and hands-on culinary instruction for adults looking to sharpen their skills and advance employment in the food industry. 

Advance Your Culinary Career

Under the guidance of certified culinary instructors, students will learn the critical skills and education to advance their career in commercial kitchen settings in this eight-week program hosted in North Omaha.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Commitment is 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., Monday through Friday for 8 weeks.
  • Must be 19 years or older at the time of application.
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Willing to commit to all program components, including eight weeks of part-time work experience and instruction.
  • Have a strong interest in pursuing a culinary career.

Industry Certification

Our curriculum includes the ServSafe Food Handler Training Certification, giving graduates a recognized industry credential to boost your employability in the food industry.

Accreditation

The Culinary Certificate Program is accredited by the Nebraska Department of Education as a postsecondary school.

Program Highlights

Earn college credit equivalency at Metropolitan Community College for completing the NMEP Culinary Certificate (CHRM_1030 Intro to Professional Cooking, 4.5 Credit Hours). For more information, talk to your MCC advisor.
