Support Our Work

Get or Give Help

Our neighbors are facing urgent food insecurity. To everyone feeling the strain right now, you are not alone. You are loved, supported, and part of a community that cares deeply. We see you, we hear you, and we are fighting for change together.

Find Emergency Support

SNAP/Food Resources Hotline The SNAP/Food Resources Hotline from Food Bank for the Heartland remains open. Their team of experts is available to assist individuals in finding food, including those currently enrolled in SNAP, those with pending applications, or anyone in need of food assistance. Nebraska residents call 855-444-5556. Iowa residents call 855-944-3663.

Local 2-1-1 You can utilize the Local 2-1-1 Service for help with emergency housing, utility assistance, additional food resources, and more. 211 connects you to expert, caring help. Every call is completely confidential. There are also texting, email, and live chat available.

Warm Line We know this moment is heavy. For many, the challenges we face at home and in our community can feel overwhelming. Please remember to take care of yourself. Reach out for help when it feels like too much. If you or someone you know needs someone to talk to, call the Warm Line at 402-715-4225. Ways to Help

No More Empty Pots stands in solidarity advocating for food justice on a local, state and national level. We are active in community spaces and coalitions to listen, to advocate, and to collaborate on solutions together. Advocacy remains the most effective tool within our current means, and we urge anyone to join our collective voice.

Advocate For SNAP As of November 3, partial (likely 50%) SNAP benefits will be paid out in November. Look out for communications from Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Contact your members of Congress using this easy connection portal or learn other ways to advocate from Nebraska Appleseed.

Support Community Harvest Community Harvest is a local food subscription service that offers fresh locally grown produce and made-from-scratch meals. Each food item is sourced from local farmers and producers, supporting both families and our regional food system. If you or your household are in need of food assistance, you can join our waitlist to start services as funding becomes available. If you can provide support to help us serve more families, make a donation here. A $30 donation covers the cost of a box of produce or two meals.

Volunteer Your Time Volunteers of No More Empty Pots join a movement for positive change in food systems and sustainability. Every week, volunteers help pack boxes of fresh produce for distribution. Register now to prepare affordable local food for our community.

With questions or ideas for partnership, please contact Bre Grandstaff, Evaluation and Advocacy Coordinator, who is helping keep our team and community informed during this critical time and leading the charge on No More Empty Pots' response.
