Talia McGill Named President and CEO

No More Empty Pots is proud to announce the appointment of Talia McGill as its next President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective Monday, January 1, 2024.

McGill started her journey at No More Empty Pots six years ago as the Director of Strategic Communications and transitioned into her current role as Chief Operating Officer in 2019. She brings over a decade of seasoned managerial leadership, a wealth of entrepreneurial achievements, and a comprehensive background in communications and operations to the role.

She embodies the culture and innovation of No More Empty Pots, and her transformative leadership over the past six years has been instrumental in the growth of the organization, making her the ideal choice to lead No More Empty Pots,” said Shannon Lang, Board Member and Hiring Committee Member at No More Empty Pots. “We have great confidence in her ability to steer the organization towards great achievements in the future.” 

McGill's vision for No More Empty Pots is centered on affirming the organization as a beacon of equitable food access and opportunity in the Omaha Metro area. She plans to cultivate and expand thriving workforce training programs, entrepreneurial initiatives, and local food procurement and distribution. With this strategic direction, No More Empty Pots is poised to leverage emerging opportunities, especially in light of the recent opening of its second programming facility, The Greenhouse, in the Highlander neighborhood of North Omaha.

The search and selection process for the President and CEO position was independently led by NEXT Recruitment and Consulting and the No More Empty Pots Board of Directors.
