No More Empty Pots experienced a transformative year marked by growth and innovation. Programming expanded into 49 zip codes, serving 10% more people. Our network of local food vendors grew by 185%, and educational partnerships increased by 25%, amplifying community impact. Internally, the organization successfully rolled out a new operating system and an Accountability Chart, creating clarity and alignment across teams.

Innovate to Elevate
No More Empty Pots celebrated the grand opening of the No More Empty Pots Greenhouse, a transformative space for growth and community impact. December marked a significant leadership transition as Co-Founder Nancy Williams stepped down as President and CEO. In her place, Talia McGill was appointed to lead the next chapter of No More Empty Pots, beginning in January 2024.

Expanding Possibilities
In 2022, No More Empty Pots focused on uplifting emerging leaders and supporting disinvested entrepreneurs within the Omaha community. That same year, we proudly announced plans to operationalize the Highlander Accelerator Greenhouse, a partnership with Seventy Five North that will bring new opportunities for food system growth in North Omaha.

Harvesting Change
Community Harvest relaunched as a local food subscription service, delivering fresh, locally sourced produce in 2021. No More Empty Pots deepened its commitment to multi-generational learning by creating intentional pathways that nurture curiosity, self-sufficiency, and engagement across generations. We also held community listening sessions to build stronger relationships and gain insight into the lived experiences of our participants and stakeholders.

Rising to Meet the Challenge
As the COVID-19 pandemic unfolded, No More Empty Pots swiftly adapted to address urgent community needs. Programs like Community Harvest and Feeding Our Neighbors provided emergency meals and produce boxes, offering vital support during an unprecedented time.

Building Foundations
The Food Hub's construction was officially completed, featuring the Kids Kitchen, Business Incubator, and Rooftop Garden. That summer, we proudly served over 400 youth, opened Cups Café at Florence in July, and celebrated the grand opening of the Food Hub in August—laying the foundation for future community-driven success.

Strategic Growth
No More Empty Pots updated its strategic plan and began Phase Two of construction on the upper levels of the Food Hub. This expansion included the Kids Kitchen, Business Incubator, and Rooftop Garden. Our programs thrived, with 1,400 hours dedicated to Culinary Workforce Training, 1,209 hours in the Shared-Use Kitchen, and 428 hours of Community Education programming.
