Producer Highlights! Meet Our Local Producers - Colby Farms and Timbo's Spice

We are putting the spotlight on two of the local producers No More Empty Pots is proud to support in their Micro Market and Community Harvest CSA.

COLBY FARMS - Papillion, NE
Colby Farms  is a family-owned farm created in 2023. The business believes sustainable farming is essential for the land, the crops, and the community. Colby Farms employs environmentally responsible practices such as natural fertilization, crop rotation, water conservation, and chemical-free pest control. Here's what they have to say on their blog: "In 2023 Becky and her husband Tim started Colby Farms. For the last few decades the land has been farmed conventionally only growing corn and soybeans. Tim and Becky will be transitioning the farm to grow organic fruit and vegetables. The fresh produce along with fresh eggs from their chickens will be available at their onsite farm store and local farmers markets."

TIMBO’S SPICE - Bellevue, NE
Timbo's Spice crafts some of the finest seasonings and rubs on the market. The company is dedicated to using only the freshest, highest-quality ingredients never using fillers or extracts. Every jar of Timbo's Spice is packed with freshly ground herbs and spices, delivering bold, clean flavor without compromise. Here's a snip-it from their website: "We often get asked for an "all-purpose" seasoning. While many of our products are delicious on multiple foods, I'm not a believer that there should be "One Product" that's good on "Everything". I prefer to craft different rubs with different ingredients that highlight the nuances in different foods. Besides, who wants to use the same flavor on everything they eat? BORING!"
