HOW IT WORKS
STEP 1: LOCAL SOURCING
- Is from a producer or farmer that is value aligned
- Is tansparent. Get to know and trust the farmers behind your food
- Is committed to investing in ethical land stewardship
- Reduces food transportation time and costs
- Builds awareness of food options beyond the grocery store
STEP 2: SUBSCRIBE TO COMMUNITY HARVEST
STEP 3: BROWSE THE STORE
Take a look at the online store. The store will feature both food and non-food items. Order everyday staples like bread and milk or get your hands on an activity kit! All items in the store are procured from local producers, NMEP chefs, NMEP Culinary Certificate Program students, NMEP Community Education team and NMEP entrepreneurs. Inventory of store items is limited and subject to change based on availibility and seasonality.
STEP 4: JOIN THE COMMUNITY - ONLINE & OFFLINE!
- Makes you part of a movement
- Allows food to become more than a transaction
- Gives food the power to be an equalizer and common ground
- Lifts up others
- Supports encouragement to and for others
- Opens doors to broaden your network and make new friends
- Spreads the reach of community resources
