CREATE A LEGACY TOGETHER

With your support, we are co-creating a brighter, more self-sufficient future for all. Let us sow the seeds of change, invest in nurturing one another, and cultivate a Legacy of Love that uplifts and sustains a thriving community.

We are sowing the seeds of change...

a Legacy Founded in 2010

The story of No More Empty Pots began when four friends came together with a desire to improve the quality of life for the community, North Omaha and beyond. Since 2010, our programs and partnerships have addressed food security, education, and economic opportunity with a systems approach to solutions so that there will be “no more empty pots”. No More Empty Pots is intentional in our service to the community, meeting each person where they are and supporting their growth and potential. The grand opening of the Food Hub at Florence was celebrated in 2019.

For the Community, by the community

A new milestone for No More Empty Pots was celebrated on Friday, December 8th, 2023, to officially open our second programming location! The Greenhouse at Highlander is located in the Highlander neighborhood of North Omaha. The facility is the first of its kind operationalized on the campus of Seventy Five North Revitalization Corp. No More Empty Pots brings culinary workforce training, a commercial kitchen for rent, a 400-square foot Micro Market, an on-site science lab and more to Highlander residents and neighbors across Greater Omaha.

Become Part of the Journey

The Legacy of Love campaign holds a special place in our hearts as we honor the trailblazing legacy of Nancy Williams. After years of dedicated service, Nancy will be commencing her time as CEO in December of 2023. Her passion for the community of Omaha has been a beacon of love, inspiring all those around her. No More Empty Pots invites you to be a part of the legacy she has built by joining the next chapter of our journey as we usher in a new CEO in 2024 and chart the next decade of impact together.

The Greenhouse Grand Opening

AT THE CENTER OF LOVE IS IMPACT

No More Empty Pots programs provide culinary training, gardening education, food distribution and business coaching. In 2022 alone, over 4,181 individuals in over 39 zip codes in eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa were impacted. Your Legacy of Love gift makes sustainable impact possible.

Alisha Amplifies the Abundance

Like many Doulas, Alisha's work extends beyond her job title into the holistic lifestyle she leads dedicated to community service and education. This year, she started a community garden in her own backyard.

Javon Boldly Leads by Example

Jayvon attends an after-school workshop series about gardening and cooking. His charisma and joy are contagious as he encourages others to try new things and step outside their comfort zones.

From Ukraine to Omaha

Olha loves everything about cooking. She worked at a restaurant in Ukraine pursuing a culinary career, until the conditions in her city became unsafe meant she and her sister must leave.

Caliyah Gives Back

Caliyah is a first generation college student and rising senior at UNL who volunteers every week at No More Empty Pots. She said, "I'm realizing that I might have an interest in working with nonprofits after I graduate!"

As No More Empty Pots moves through the transition of what comes next, we are grateful... Together we can ensure that each person in our community is food secure, earns a living wage, has safe affordable housing and high-quality education and training. I believe in us and our equitable future bounded by a legacy of love.
