Leadership session at Food Waste & Hunger Summit

In February No More Empty Pots received an invitation from Campus Kitchens to attend the first ever Food Waste & Hunger Summit and deliver a session on Poverty & Authentic Leadership. The event was well organized and well attended by smart energetic students working to maximize on-campus and community resources to address hunger issues in their communities. The agenda was comprehensive and covered youth to senior citizens, collegiate to corporate, food recovery and meal generation, and legal implications to common practices.

Highlights of the conference included keynotes by Robert Egger of L.A. Kitchen and Mike Curtin of  DC Central Kitchen as well as insightful and informative presentations by developing campus leaders.
