Because of You, NMEP Turns 10!

Every week, you power the preparation, packaging and delivery of over 1,000 meals and produce boxes to the community. One delivery location is Pine Tower Apartments. For weeks there was a delivery to only one person in the tower. A curious resident reached out one day, “I saw your truck last week and this week, what are you doing?” NMEP staff Dana explained to them that each week through generous donors NMEP delivers local, nutritious and delicious prepared meals and produce boxes in the neighborhood. The energized resident took a stack of flyers to share with their neighbors in the tower. A few days later, the enrollment at Pine Tower increased dramatically to 200 meals! We are grateful for concerned neighbors who continuously advocate and source opportunities to support each other. We are grateful to you for making nutritious whole foods available for neighbors in need.

You’re invited to be part of Greater Omaha acting together as one for #GivingTuesday402 on December 1st. On this day, join the effort of giving – and doing – all that we can to support our neighbors. Together, we can harness the power of all, with ALL gifts and ALL ways of doing good! This year, your gifts will support youth, adults, seniors and families who are relying on a caring community to provide healthy nourishing food. With $5,000 you can provide 1,000 scratch-made, locally sourced, plant based meals and snacks to our neighbors in need by giving on or before December 1!

NMEP Turns 10!

No More Empty Pots has continuously been powered by people daring enough to dream courageously and affect positive change for themselves and their neighbors through resilience, toughness, and grit — a sentiment never more true than as demonstrated in 2020 when the organization faced tremendous transformation brought on by a global pandemic. As the 10-Year Anniversary approaches on December 11th, No More Empty Pots wants to reflect on and celebrate the last decade with you! Here’s what we have in store:
