Maggie Austin recently moved to Omaha from Lincoln, where she obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching, Learning, and Teacher Education, Nebraska teaching certification with an endorsement in Elementary Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theater from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Always motivated by opportunities for learning, Maggie has lived and worked aboard a cruise ship in the Caribbean, served as an au pair in Berlin, and taught English in South Korea. She has also taught art and theater classes and worked as a preschool educator with Head Start. She is passionate about culinary arts integration, trauma-informed teaching, and culturally responsive practices. In her spare time, Maggie loves to enjoy the arts in all forms, from contemporary sculpture to video games!
